Default Transmission light on

So the transmission trouble light on my 97 xj6 came on today on the way home, but that's it. No trans shifting problems, no limping home. The fluid level was high when checked right after getting home but with ambient temps at 96 degrees Fahrenheit I figure the fluid could just have expanded a little more than usual. Plus the fluid level hasn't been added to in more the 4 years (driven during the summer only) and if the high level is a problem it should been so much earlier than now. Plugged the scanner in and there were no codes. Any ideas? Do I need to stop driving it right away?

I'm sure I read somewhere around here that a chafed wiring will throw the light on.

You are probably just communicating with the ECM and NOT the TCM.
There might be DTC(s) in the gearbox module that you cannot reach with a generic scanner.

Here are some TSBs that I uploaded and are available in the large file download area.

I'll take a look through the TSB's. What I've noticed this week is when the outside temp is at or above 95 degrees the light comes on. When it's below that it's off.
