Is the Trim Code to be found anywhere other than inside the driver's door?

Default Is the Trim Code to be found anywhere other than inside the driver's door?

I'm trying to locate the Trim Code on my 1995 X300. On a sticker inside the driver's door is printed the paint code but where the word "Trim" is, there is nothing printed next to it as some cretin appears to have peeled this section off! Why I cannot imagine.
Where else could I find it please?
Thanks.

Thanks for that, but I can't find it if it's there! You say a sticker so I presume it's paper of some kind. I've searched all over the engine compartment and all I can see is a metal plate attached to the bulkhead, barely visible near where the engine block almost meets the bulkhead. Don't think it can be that.
Can you be more specific as to where it will be? Then if it's not there, I'll assume the same cretin has peeled that off also!
Thanks again.

Interesting - I've never seen that on a UK spec X300.

Can you post a photo?

As a matter of interest although I'm in Spain and have had the car many years, it's originally a US model. I'm sure the trim code is accessible from the VIN as a piece of paper is rather vulnerable as the sole source of finding out the trim code, so I'll try the VIN method!
Thanks to all.

Maybe a US thing!

Vehicle labeling is subject to different market regulations.

For instance, Australian regulation require the vehicle must have the actual date it came off the production line stamped on a metal plate in the luggage compartment. We have found from many replies on the forum that the US 'build date' is the date the vehicle was imported to the US. Several members genuinely have a US 2006MY XK8/XKR but the last car came off the line in May 2005.

My UK X300's didn't have the label in dfieldsend's photo but that was probably due to over zealous cleaning before I got them!

Warm, but a lot of cloud for the past few days. Dry though, too dry. No proper rain this year at all. Having said that it'll probably pour down now for the next week!

I see no pictures of your interior! USA models don't have the trim code labels under the hood. Is the interior a medium tan/brown on the uppers, and a light grey color on the lowers and the leather seats? If so, congratulations, you have code AGD interior trim, commonly called "Oatmeal", one of the more common color schemes on a USA XJ6. BTW, those colors are named Antelope and Oatmeal. Funny, right? Here are a few other North American codes for the XJ6:

Coffee: SDC
Cream: NDR
Nimbus: LFJ

If you have other than an XJ6, there are other possibilities!

Seem to recall that my seats are called "Cream" and they certainly look like that colour. Headlining is very light grey (or gray!). If that iss the correct name for it.
BTW, the passenger seat has become very badly stained by my wife's jeans. Can't for the life of me shift it. But that's another problem!
Thanks for your posting.
