Next 4 sets of my of up-rated design of XJ40 / X300 front anti-roll bar drop links reading for shipment to other owners. Whilst orders for my revised crank sensor brackets are continuing after more than 10 years, the front anti-roll bar drop links are a more recent additions to the parts that I have developed during my ownership of my two XJRs.

Hi Andy
Sorry for this stupid question, but what are the advantages of these links? Does it make my XJR stiffer or better handle in corners or less sensitive for lane changes or... ? Just curious.
Best regards,
Andres

Hi Andres,
The standard Jaguar drop links have metalastic bushes at each end. This means that when the car starts to roll in a corner, the bushes must compress, before the anti-roll bar starts to react against the rolling movement. My up-rated drop links have spherical bearings instead of bushes, which means that as soon as the car starts to roll, the anti-roll bar has to start to twist. My drop links therefore effectively increase the roll stiffness of the car, whilst retaining the original anti-roll bar.

I had to remove my uprated front anti-roll bar drop links yesterday to gain access to the lower damper bolts. I took the opportunity to inspect the rose joints that used to build the drop links. They were still in excellent condition after 14 years on the car. No signs of any corrosion. I'm really pleased with the quality of these parts, as demonstrated by their current condition.
