How hard is it to change a water pump on a 1996 XJ6?

 

Fairly easy, but the bolts can be a little hard to reach. I found it easier to take the air pump off, then back off the tensioner for the alternator. Remember where it was so you can get the proper tension again, unless you replace the belt.

If you check on ebay you can buy a workshop manual CD. It has a parts section and repair including torque settings. Originally from Jaguar Heritage.
