When I make my XJR6 purchase Id really like it to be a 96 or 97 being the last 2 years. Im not one to jump on 1st year model cars for new engines, new bodystyles, etc to work out the kinks. Would I be just as well off if I end up finding a 95 XJR??

You would be ok with a 1995. Damn cars won't break! (Very frustrating for a parts guy.)

What a comment off ken
As far as I concern, being a supercharhed engine XJR's engine supercharger unit needs maintenance every certain period of times
cool beans thanks for the opinions guys! One other thing about a 95 xjr is the glovebox situation...lol. I know the 94 XJ40s didnt have them due to the new airbag but Ive seen 95 XJRs/XJ6s some with and some w/o the glovebox. One 95 XJR I just looked at was I presume a early model because it indicated it was produced Nov 1994 and it didnt have the glovebox. Is it something that was changed to late model 95's or was the glovebox an extra option??

Ah, ic. thanks for the info! Id def need a late model then. Id miss my glovebox. lol.
That's funny because I hate my MY97 VDP glovebox. If I don't slam it shut it will only close on the left side! Annoying. ORIGINAL: XjJagXjJeepDriver
