Default What's unusual about this picture?

Hi Guys,
Apart from the obvious (working LEDs) what's unusual about this picture?
When you give up, I'll just say that I have no idea what that black, circular doo-dad is next to the gear selector gate. Does anybody know what it is? It was on the car when I bought it.
Cheers,
Steve

I have no idea, before you mentioned the doodad, I thought the unusual thing was the 21 deg C temp in Blackburn.

My guess is phone/mp3 mount. Is it magnetic? Noting the aftermarket head unit with aux input capability...does it also have Bluetooth?

Looks like someone forgot to break the tabs off the top of your ski-slope prior to reinstallation....

Hi again,
It's only 21 degrees inside the car. Outside, it's persisting down.
I guess it could have been a mount for something and my money would have been on a phone.
I hadn't noticed those 2 little things at the top of the slope. Probably because you don't usually see it from that angle and as for the plastic flicking off, which plastic do you mean?
Cheers m'dears,
Steve

Thanks to Motorcarman for warning me about the tabs scratching the leather on installation!

But not to worry, you are correct, only visible when you are laying in the seat about to take it apart again. Cheers

I may have to go and investigate the top of the ski-slope with my Swiss Army knife which has an attachment for just such situations.
Back in a minute.

Right then. As you can see, I fixed the issue of the tabs showing but that gave me another headache. Namely, whoever it was that replaced the ski slope, probably after fitting the new radio, made an **** of the job and scratched the leather on the underside of the leather surround as the ski slope was going in.
The good news is that it can only be seen by a childish midget with a few years training as a contortionist.
The bad news is that I know it's there and it will bug the Bejayzus out of me.

It appears to be the location of the cigar lighter/power outlet. Is that removable?

It isn't that, locogringo.
The circular shape can't be moved either up, down, in or out. Neither does it slide in any direction. It can't be pushed, pulled or talked sweetly into moving either in whole or partly in any direction. In other words, and to all intents and purposes, it is simply a magnetised, metallic lump fastened in place there by unknown means.
The cigar lighter/power outlet is at the forward end of the ashtray which is at the forward end of the centre console.

Nice try, though so thanks. It shows that you are trying to be helpful.
Steve
