I think the 'ambient' sensor is the one in the left fenderwell....or perhaps the cooling duct for the LH front brake. Something like that. My memory is a bit fuzzy at the moment. Someone will come long to clarify
The other temp sensor is incorporated into the aspirator assembly.....mounted in the LH side lower dash panel behind a tiny little inlet grille. That's the one with the sub-miniature fan to draw air in. I think they call it "cabin temperature sensor"
Cheers

Yes, the ambient temp sensor is in the air duct that leads to the brakes. It is a little cylindrical sensor that is riveted into the duct.
On the other side duct, there is also another sensor looking thing but it doesn't have the part that protudes into the duct. I'm not exactly sure what that one does but it the harness is identical to the left side sensor

Could this be the pair of wires I found in front of the driverside front wheel that had me wondering what was supposed to be there?............lol
I think I may be ummm missing this sensor altogether.
Thanks fellas

The brake cooling duct is gone completely on the drivers side so I assume these wires were torn off the sensor when the brake duct got ripped off. So I guess I will get me another one

I "think" that one of the sensors in the air intake duct gives you the outside temperature and the other one in the opposite duct is connected to the heating/air con, providing information which is used when either is used in "auto" mode.
Then, just to complicate matters, you also have the little sensor sitting in the centre, on top of the dash right inside the windscreen. This apparently measure sunlight, relative to temperature, as it can be a lot warmer just inside the windscreen, driving directly into a bright sunlit sky.
