Hi guyz, my car is not starting up and i want to do Diagnostics so where can i find the Diagnostics Port on LHD 1996 XJR and what type of Diagnostics connector does it have?

The OBDII port is roughly where the upward sweep of the center console intersects with the lower edge of the dashboard.

Is there any chance that i will get the Failure code for any sensor when there is no check engine light on?

I bumped into a big hole with my car and the engine started working bad + the black smoke from the muffler.

I hope that there's something with the hose or any sensor that i can connect back because there is no way i can rebuild/fix the engine here in Georgia.

P.S. Now the car won't start at all. I mean it starts if you push the gas pedal till the end and the engine works really bad + the black smoke + there is a smell of gasoline somehow.
