Question Where can I get a key fob remote for my 1997 X330?

I have been looking all over for a replacement remote key fob to lock/unlock my '97 X330 (XJ6L).

A little help here?

There appear to be several on the 'Bay. Your late, LWB car almost definitely needs a 433MHz tx, so make sure that's what you're getting. (DBC11512)

$599.99 for an original is a bit rich for my blood.

New one's are rare and don't seem to come up too often. Used ones are out there but make sure you get the right frequency and check if tit has it's battery cover.
It seems there are some used ones on 'Bay, but as you've probably seen conditions vary and most seem to need new buttons.
The European 'Bay sites have a few more options, but they may not ship to the US.
Maybe a trip to a local pick n pull would be worth considering.
I saw one recently on welshent.com.

The highest price I saw was under $200 shipped for a used one.
Yeah, you might have to pop in new silicone buttons and batteries.

i think SAAB ones work, as long as you have the right frequency.

If you are in a good market area that has a couple of X300,s going to salvage in a particular yard they have a bucket of them they sell for 5 bucks each to someone who resales them , you'll have to dig through them and even for a Saab equivalent and a yard that handles them

Take a picture with you from E - bay and the frequency number is very small to read with a naked eye

There are some parts on E - Bay to be able to refresh them

A 97 X300L came into a local Kansas City yard and I will look for the Fobs but I can't test a 433 hz as mine is a 315 hz

I have attached details (has been previously posted) on an easy & reliable way to deal with aging remotes.
I have had this system in place now for many years and can attest to it providing a reliable and working remote, however you will of course not have a genuine Jaguar remote, this may be a problem for some owners.

I think the antenna length on the rear window is the determinant if you can use a 315 or 433 hz

The swapping of a early year SLCU sounds interesting
