Default Windscreen Washer Reservoir Replacement

Hi guys,

Anyone knows if a Windscreen Washer Reservoir for the X308 / XJ8 1998 - 2003 (LNC7038CF) will fit my 1996 X300 XJR (LNA7038AA / JLM12455)?

The X300 Reservoir not that easy to find and mine have been damaged at the bottom.

If I remember correctly I've read somewhere that it might work ..? I do see many of the X308 (1998-2003) advertised on eBay and other sites.

Anyone tried it yet?

Thanks in advance.

It fits in the same space on the same chassis...between the X300 and X308............

The pump motor and level connectors I think are different.

But the top fill neck is different. But I think the fill neck can swap over as it comes off

But my memory can be bad

A plastic can of weightlifters powdered protein.will fit in there so you might stop by a gym for a empty can

Thanks Parker,

If the connectors are different I guess it won't work .., if the fill neck can swop out / over I am good with that!

Would like to keep it OEM but the Protein Can might be a last resort or maybe some epoxy?

Regards.

Cheaper would be bathtub silicone glue as epoxy can get expensive.

I will look at the salvage yard for a a X300 and X308 and try swapping connectors as they have both

My reservoir was left out when the previous owner had repairs done after a wreck.

I know what you mean on bottom damage as common.

Thanks Parker,

Bathtub Silicone glue might be an option .., will have a look into that as well.

Down here where I am from there definitely aint too many X300's in the salvage yard! not as fortunate as you guys from the US & UK.

Looks like the 1997-2003 doesn't have as much damage re the reservoirs (bottom) as there are still many availible as "used" on places like eBay.
