Default Wiper function killed by OBDII erase?

Hi guys

I am new to the world of Jaguars, after driving BMWs (E32) for more than a decade. Bought my XJR back in september, but haven't had as much time to work on it, as I would have hoped. The lack of a Bentley manual or similar doesn't make things easier...

Anyway, I have a few issues, like high idle when not in 'D' (?). Bought an USB ELM327 v1.4b OBDII reader to check for fault codes. Saw a lot of praise for Touchscan software, so I bought a license. No codes were stored, Touchscan told me, but a P1775 was on freeze frame. As I have seen numerous users being told to clear error codes, I decided to give it a go and see, if that would change anything. It did, but not as expected.

Touchscan said freeze frame codes aso would be deleted, but something is still there, in FF. Engine runs about the same as before the reset, but for some reason the wiper don't stop anymore when the car is not moving, e.g. at a red light. Other than that, it works perfectly.

Did Touchscan wipe something wrong? Have I killed my ECU?

Sure?

If so, what have gone wrong? How do I get the wiper to slow down again, when the car is stationary?
