Default Wipers not working correctly.

Ok so driving to work today and it started raining, i switched the delay on, and it was working, it started raining heavier so i flicked it to speed 1 and they stopped working. Then i flicked it to speed 2 and it worked. Flicked tit back to 1 and not working. Then out to delay, not working, clicked stalk back for one pass, not working, squirt water, water works, but wiper did not move.
currently my wiper does not work on speed 2 and do not return to park position

squirt - water but no swipe
once - not working
delay - not working
Speed 1 - not working
speed 2 - working

this must be an issue in the switch mechanisim?
if it was fuse then nothing would work as only 1 fuse.

could it be relay?
Have not got a chance to
check wiring diagram to see exactly how the relays work until i get home

Remove/check the wiper SPEED relay behind the headlamp.

I've seen this enough time at the dealer to recommend investigating the relay.

Yeah actually that makes perfect sense. Relay stuck open or closed, meaning only one speed available

There is a history of the switch wires coming loose from there sodier connections there are pictures from others , just resodier

There is also wires rubbing in the column

The easiest and first try is 2 wiper relays that you can swapped with other then each other , I would target # 6

The slow / fast relay has a fuse # !6 / 10 amp right heelboard fuse box which relies on the fuse box relay staying closed

This is the same fuse box relay that must stay closed to keep fuse # 10 / 5 amp right heelboard fuse box powered which is the control half of your fuel pump relay

notice the engine correlation ?

You can have a floating relay

in all fuse boxes fuse 10 , 12 , 14 , and 16 must have the fuse box relay closed

fuse 1 - 9 and the rest bypass this fuse box relay and are directly wired inside the fuse box to the battery

thanks for the info....

but fortunately it was the easy option.
it is the wiper relay.
swapped out a known working relay to test.
all functions worked.
now i guess i need to go buy a relay unfortunately don't have any spares atm.
