Any one tell me what size socket you need to remove the oxygen sensor on an xj6 x300 1996 model
I can't remember the size but is important not to twist the wires , I think are 17 mm and the treads are 12 mm . A - ha .........I nailed it again

They are galvanized wires iin this application and brittle
The X300 on the AJ16 engine are different O2 sensors as they are titanium and generate a different resistance to alter a reference voltage

There is a cheap connector ready substitution as the Bosch # 13789
Some have found the connectors crossed as they will fit the same connection , this effects engine regulation
On the car side of the connector you will find the wire colors the same with the exception of the 4th wire being Blue , Red , Green , or Brown
The aft sensor connectors can get some corrosion on this sensitive O2 signal as well as the overlooked important engine wiring grounds
The Papa Indy 61 connector is common to get corroded and is addressed in a Jaguar TSB
You will see it as the White / Green wire in the pic as the lower row in position # 12 , this is my first Jaguar , I'll have to work on that
