That's a limo made by Wilcox in the UK. It has the UK license plate on it, the N prefix means it was registered between 1 August 1995 – 31 July 1996.
Wilcox is well established builder of funeral vehicles, hearses and limos. At one time, they were the largest dealer of Daimler DS420 limos and hearses.
beautiful car.
stunning.
i would so buy this and hire it out.......
surprised tho at some of the features it does not have being a SOV and then going the extra mile to be a Limo.
like not fully electric seats, no cup holders, no cruise control.
i would have thought these were standard on a SOV;
Price has dropped on their web site to $15k. Wonder how difficult it would be to turn the middle seats around so it' more like a US limo than a funeral transport.
That is a really interesting find and you do not see many X300 six-door limos come up locally, especially on Craigslist. Cars like this often have an unusual backstory, since some were originally operated by local limousine providers in the Boston area, including names people may recognize such as Bnlboston Limo or Metro West car service before later being sold privately which can help explain the mileage and maintenance patterns. From the photos it looks fairly complete, but the quality of the stretch work and the condition of the rear suspension and cooling system are usually the key points with these cars. Do you know if the seller mentioned who performed the conversion or whether there is any documented service history?
Always wanted to see the underside of one of these stretchers to see how they handle the prop shaft and under shell extension. Presumably they welded two roof and the rear door sections in on top, lot of work.
