Default X300 security module location

The alarm is not sounding and most probably not working. the key fobs open and lock the car but no 'bleeps' are heard. I have replaced the sounder and now assuming it is the security ecu. Can anyone tell me where I can find the security ecu on my 1997 x300 sport Thanks Mike

No idea where you are so I will guess it is in the same place RHD, or LHD??.

Mine (RHD) is tucked up between the fuel filler spout and the outer metal body panel inside the boot. Trim panel removal will be required, and a sense of humour will help heaps.

it is located right under the fuel filler. u will need to remove two bolts to get it free. the security sounder uses 2 wires from the security module. these are on the longest plug identified as the CA21 plug. pins number 13 and 26 are for the sounder. those are the first two wires on the left of the CA21. colors are white/orange and white/slate, they both carry little less than 6 volts when the alarm should be sounding.
