Default X300 to X308, what parts are interchangeable?

Specifically looking at body panels. It looks like the rear end/bumper is different but is the trunk lid the same? I'm working on gathering replacement parts to swap things out since being rear ended. So, TL, DR - Can I use an 98 hatch on my 97?

Yes the boot lid from a 308 will fit the 300. I think the bumper will fit too but as you noticed it looks a little different. Should be easier to find these 308 parts used.

I found them, but no one was interested in shipping... However I did find an XJ6 in the same color in my state, so I'll at least be able to put those on. Good to know the X308 parts will fit.

Hi AtraelyxVasser,

To the degree that it may help you match up panels, you can check X300 and X308 part numbers at jaguarclassicparts.com. The last letter or two of a part number may be different to reflect the paint color, but the rest of the part number may match between the two models.

Cheers,

Don
