Does anyone know the voltage of the internal light bulbs for the radio on a 1996 x300. or the resistor used to replace them with leds.

Without myself looking into this too much as before ( bigger priorities ) can the needed lowering of current resistor as a master for the all of the units LEDs be placed external of the stereo head in the ships wiring after the illumination dimming module or will the dimming module serve the same function ? I am assuming so as long as the LEDs driving voltage is above the minimum . I did notice as I had the stereo head apart before that there was a physical space limitation to installing a resistor in series with the individual bulb mounting " plates " . There are certain LEDs ( flickering or color changing as I kinda play around ) that have the resistor built into the bulb package but it's optical illumination presentation would be kind of weird to say the least , I was wondering if normal steady state white or color LEDs using the Jaguar / Alpine AJ9500A factory incandescent lens color cover ( assuming they can be physically the same size and I know LEDs come in different dimensions and luminosity ) can be obtain that have the resistor built in . With the engineering calculations involved as an array system they can be obtained at the below link with an example of my own design Laura's Christmas tree mini LEDs lights I came up with years before using a twinkling tea candle LED as a trigger to control 4 colored mini colored LEDs arrays through the use of 4 high gain solid state darlington pair switches . I plan on using the same circuit as white to illuminate and twinkle Lady Penelope's leaping jaguar hood ornament at night as her way of saying to other cars in a subtle yet sophisticated way of saying " Yes , I am a Jaguar bitches , and you are not " . I have rambled around before the different forum posts on the modifications with other X300 devices with the available kits . My head hurts now .
