I was wondering if anyone had production numbers for the xjr6 and xj12? For various years 95-97.

 

Here's a cut-n-paste from an old J-L posting. Not sure what source the original author used but the numbers seem to agree with what I've heard over the years

Bear in mind that Jaguar production figures are expressed in calendar year, not model year



XJR Production:-

Year Produced

That makes a total of 6547 X300 XJR's.

X300 V12 production:-

6 Litre XJ12 short

6 Litre XJ12 Long

I have verified those numbers against Nigel Thorley's excellent, if occasionally inaccurate, book "Jaguar: All the Cars".

 

Is it possible to trace the production numbers per model year. I had the 1996 XJR numbers verified by JAGUAR HERITAGE ARCHIVE. They are correct.

 

The 96 XJ12 numbers are correct.

 

Probably not, Because methods of determining 'model year' can vary from country-to-country. Thus Jaguar quoted calendar year numbers
