Good morning everyone!
Can anybody tell me what is this Yellow connector for? It's next to the Engine Control Unit.
This is for a 1995 Jaguar XJ6.
The car started beeping and when I disconnected this part the beeping stops. When I connect it, the beeping starts again.
The car seems to drive fine.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Does the 95 have airbags ?

The airbag wire harness between the sensors is wrapped in yellow

one of the sensors is above the ECU on the skin of the car

Then you have the airbag itself above the glovebox if installed

Do not put a meter on it as a meter will charge and explode a airbag

My understanding is that any connector coloured YELLOW and any wiring loom sheathed or covered in split tubing coloured YELLOW is for SRS Air Bag system.
YELLOW meaning beware !

Yes, the 95 have an airbags, driver and passenger side.
