Question Unknown connector in the trunk

Hello!

I am new to this Jaguar brand and I just bought my first X308 Jaguar XJ. I love the car already! But like most "older" cars, it has some issues, but it is starting to look like something now.

It looks like the previous owner was a pretty messy about the electrical stuff. They also fitted a tow-bar to the Jaguar...
While I was removing this mess, I saw an unlabeled connector in the fuse box. The car is fitted with a factory phone, so I thought that it was from that, but this yellow connector goes back into the massive wiring bundle. So this one remains undefined. Do you guys have any idea what this connector is and what features I am missing on?

PS.
Rear parking aid works fine.
Is this factory? Because those sensors go to a parking-aid module made by Audi?

This is the yellow connector I am talking about.

It goes back into the big wiring bundle (going to the back seats.

Thanks for the reply! I don't think it is for the reverse sensor control unit though, because the rear parking sensors work just fine. The yellow connector is not connected to anything.

I don't know what it does, but here is that connector on my 2001 VDP........it "reconnects" to itself via a dead end plug using just the blue/green and orange wires.

It appears to be a connector for a trailer, yes. Thanks!
