Gentlemen;

Local minister asked me for help on the above Jag. While driving he gets a failsafe mode and or restricted performance message,however, car DOES NOT lose power drives just fine! Also cruise control does not work, ran codes a small evap code and a P1111 other then that nothing.
Battery and alternator checks out ok.
Any ideas?

Generally these messages are linked to throttle body, but this is not the case; it may be the brake pedal switch, have you tried without the cruise control on?

 

P1111 is a code that means it has run the monitors for the catalyst, evap etc. etc. Just an OBD2 compliant code.

How often does it happen, give me the other code numbers, we'll solve this in a quick minute.

 

The only other code was for a small evap leak I don't remember the code think it was PO441?
