Hello everyone reading this post.
I have recently taken on the task of preventive maintenance on my newly acquired 1997 XJR. I started with a plug, coils and all rubber gasketry included. I noticed that when replacing the coils the thread on the valve cover gasket is worn I.e the bolts won't tighten securely. I don't want to put any cement type additives on it. I was wondering if anyone had or knew of someplace I could get a replacement valve cover?

Is this a 6 or 8 cylinder? If a 6, you will get more help by posting on the XJ X300 forum.

Hi
I noticed that there is a forum member is selling parts from 1995 XJR (shows 6 spark plugs) and this member page says 1995 Jaguar Xjr-6, Northern New Jersey.

Here is weblink to his thread on the forum:

You also can email him - Tselimaj@live.com

I have not had any contact or any business with this member.

Craiglist on the web has parts for sale - 1995, 1996, 1997 XJ6 - one of them is valve cover:

Also found this website that has 3 of these valve covers (1996 xj6) - To do a search, click on parts on top of webpage, then on select part menu - select valve cover, manufacturer - select Jaguar, then model - select xj6 (one of them is $95)
