I'm working on this now, using this technique.. maybe I'll get to it this weekend:
https://autoweek.com/article/diy/add...radio-about-50
I like this method because when BT is switched on, I can keep the power antenna down, vs. a $20 Radio Transmitter BT that plugs into the Cigarette lighter, which I also have.
I use Waze for Traffic: it gives me Music in the app + turn by Turn + police + traffic all in the app.

Hi Larry, we welcome you to the site and hope you enjoy yourself here. The site has a request (well, more of a site requirement) to introduce yourself and your Jag here... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...-intro-must-5/
As for your inquiry, do a search in the top right above the task bar. I know there's some threads on folks interfacing with the system from splicing into it, to installing other attachments.
Here's an older thread that is quite long and may have an answer for your inquiry... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...estions-87190/

That doesn't look too bad Ungn, ...you posted just before I did. I don't use my antenna for 2 reasons, one is I have SiriusXM and second I disconnected my antenna years ago and put this in... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ve-one-103359/ ...I rarely use it because of the SiriusXM, but if I want to listen to terrestrial radio, I have the option without the antenna mast, which I despise.

XJ Bluetooth
Larry,
I found a bluetooth adapter at CarToys. It is a Tranzit BLU HF, and it was about $100. I wired it into the cigarette lighter circuit for power. the transmitter is long and slender, and fits nicely on the right side of the console next to the shift mechanism. When you reinstall the console it is undetectable and it plays through the OEM radio. I put it in in mid-march this year, and it has worked flawlessly. It has a remote mike and a phone button, so it becomes an extension of your cell phone. I found it a great solution.
Hope this helps

Hello. I recently modded original radio to have bluetooth. For me the best way was to use casette input as blutooth signal input. So far only downside is that I have to use dummy casette with continous sound to fool receiver.
I used cheap chinese BT audio module from Ebay. These radios do really have great casette input. So this sollution has as great sound as the module has.
