Hi, folks

Looking for the bearing number for my supercharger tensioner pulley. According to my Indy mechanic, the pulley itself is discontinued and it's like 600 bucks to acquire one, so I figure I'll just press out and press in a new bearing. Every other pulley has been replaced with a brand new one, just need this one.

Best,
Booshiba

I found this info...just really not too sure how to read it, so some help clarifying it would be appreciated.

"The *** 6203.2RSR fits accessory belt idler/tensioner and tensioner for S/C. The SKF 6303-2RSH/C3 fits S/C idler, once off the car it's obvious. to do all 4 pulleys order 1xSKF 6303-2RSH/C3 and 3xFAG 6203.2RSR"

Is it the *** 6203.2RSR that I need?

If you have the S/C belt tensioner off the car, take the 13mm bolt off that holds the pulley to the tensioner. Use a dry towel and wipe the grease off the seal and you’ll have numbers. There could also be an “NTN” on the opposite side of the numbers which is a makers mark. I got a “6203LHX3”. I cannot be certain that will match yours. It’s possible that I could have one from a later 4.2 setup also. The Grainger website has great technical descriptions about the bearings.

If that's my post what do you need? I'm still alive and the bearings work, oh, and did you hit the 'like' button...lol!

I highly recommend that you replace both of the snout bearings and bearing cups behind of the supercharger. I had outer snout bearing bad and those cups were pretty close to be shot. Cups are very small and the amount of grease is small. Grease was pitch black and smelled burnt. I used Powerhouse.UK m112 kit.

So actually it's the idler pulley bearing I need to replace. The tensioner pulley has been done I was mistaken.

As for the supercharger bearings, they're actually only a few thousand miles old so I won't be touching them unless I hear something.

The idler pulley is a normal CCW to remove type bolt correct?

Glad you're alive! And your thread helped. I believe the bolt for the idler pulley is a regular lefty loosely righty righty type bolt. Correct?

Gosh Never write anything when you are tired. I thought you was talking about snout bearing. Top of that misunderstanding I just read about crankshaft bigger pulley for the sc. Sorry.
