Default 2001 VDP Semi-Storage

I've put my Jag away for the winter (Nov-April). It's stored in an underground parking garage under a car cover. Every two or three weeks I start it up and drive it around the garage just to keep things moving. Is this something I should be doing, or should I disconnect the battery and leave it alone?
(It runs flawlessly every time I start it up. I did not use any winterizing stabilizers or anything of the sort. Just filled the tank with 94 and parked it.)

That's what I would have done.

Many schools of thought on this. Some say to start it up others say to leave it alone. Some say squirt oil into the cylinders and leave it alone -- others say to disconnect the ignition and crank the engine to bring the oil pressure up prior to first start.

What everybody agrees is that if you do start it up make sure you are running the car long enough so it gets hot enough that no additional moisture sits in the exhaust or oil.

Mine never make a full six months -- I miss them -- I do keep a trickle charger on them. I just start them up -- my one old Mercedes does get a valve tap for about 5 seconds when it sits for a few months -- but it been doing it now for 25 years with no ill effect.

You're probably doing more harm than good by driving it around in damp cold garage full of other salt laden vehicles. I'd leave it alone with the battery hooked up to a float charger.

Back when we lived in Canada, our two "toy" cars would go into the garage late September and not see daylight until late April. We usually disconnected the batteries and filled up the gas tanks.
