On a 800 mile road trip today journey there was fine. Journey back about a quarter away through the dash lights started to flash, blinking on and off. The flashing what happened I know this every time there is this like bump from the wheels on the asphalt. A few moments later message popped up on me on again off again display screen said transmission malfunction.
Got off the interstate as soon as possible put the car park turn it off turn it back on everything's fine pulled the codes there were no codes. Several hours later the same thing happens but this time the ABS system the traction control all of it is included and then the dash just goes blank. Get off the road turn the car off turn it back on everything is fine.

I would first do a hard reset, and if that solves nothing, check the ecu.

 

"Gearbox Malfunction" or similar is a fairly common warning when there is something wrong with the battery or the alternator. I would first check the battery connections, connections at the master fuses in the trunk, connections at the false bulkhead and the charging voltage of the alternator before going any "deeper".

 

I'll bet that if you scan EVERY module on the CAN bus and SCP network, Some of the modules will have DTCs to help with a diagnosis.
A generic OBDII reader will NOT accomplish this.
