Default 2001 XJR 100k: P0300 P1316 P1111

Started car up and suddenly it's miss-firing ... After .5 mile restricted performance came on, used my scanner and it returned ... P0300 P1316 P1111. Anyone have a similar tale ... I'm hoping it's just a coil or a spark plug. :/ Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks.

My xjr was also miss-firing at one point and also got the restricted perf, and shortly after my fuel pumps went out. i dont remember the error code tho srry..hopefully it is a minor issue with yours. My tale turned into a horror story. I changed the fuel pumps and found out i most likely have a blown head gasket..good luck, lmk if you find out what the problem is.

I just tried it again ... now in addition I have P1642 P0305 P0306 P0307 P0308. I sure hope it's not the head gasket. Errors ... Fail safe, restricted performance, no asc no trac.

Im pretty sure my miss-firing issue was a separate one frm the head gasket, although im no mech.. im sure someone on this forum can give you some good feed back. How is your idle at start?

All the codes are pointing to the left bank, all cylinders. Neither individual coils or a blown head gasket should invoke all cylinders. Fuel is a common link, contaminated, pressure or blocked injectors. A fuel pressure test is a cheap place to start.

There is a OBDII code list in the FAQ sticky at the top of the XK8/R forum. I would suggest resetting all codes and see what comes back up.

I would agree in resetting and see what codes come back first -- make sure you don't have any problems with the intake that would be causing a vacuums leak.
