There is no economy in buying a cheap one unless you want transportation. The cost to bring it up to the next level is too high.

Mmmm, needed a lot of "used OEM" parts, including a complete "used" front sub frame!

"Only" needs the drive shaft fixed. And apparently a complete paint job. Nice dent in the trunk lid.

Interesting though, with the R1 options

I'm going to Jacksonville Fla. last week of Feb. if it's still available I'll take $4000 cash there & check it out. My son's turning 16 in April so he surely doesn't need one to be flawless.

Does look clean in the pics, but a 1998, so will have the Nikasil liners, an A26 engine with the "simple" VVTs, early throttle body design, and very early timing chain tensioners which will need to be done. Looks awful under the hood! Nasty dent in the right-front fender.
