Was thinking the small speaker in the steering wheel was bad as I have no warning chimes or turn signal indicator sound. But in the last 3 weeks or so, when the car was parked in the sun and got very warm inside, the sound/chimes came to life. This lasted approx 10 mins or so until AC cooled the cabin down. Car is normally garaged.

Any ideas? Have not taken the bottom cover of the steering wheel cover off yet to inspect, but guessing a chaffed wire, or short somewhere?

 

It is very common to speaker get broken.

 

The audible warning loudspeaker is 66mm diameter, 64 Ohm, .3 to .5 Watt .
