Default 2007 vs 2008 VDP

Another question...

Is the 2008 VDP better than all previous years ??

I have added a 02 VDP and really enjoy it but not able to update the radio, nav, bluetooth, XM, so thought I would sell ??

Thoughts please !!

You can update the X308's head unit for those features. Install an aftermarket unit or find a modified OEM on eBay if you prefer the stock look. I run a Kenwood DPX501BT in mine it does everything & doesn't look out of place.

Thanks... But it does not appear to have Sirius or XM without an optional tuner. I can always run nav off of my cell phone.

Was it difficult installing ??

Appreciate your comments.

My display shows SXM1 which is Sirius XM this Kenwood unit is satt. ready(tuner cost $35). It was professionally installed but the labor price didn't reflect a difficult install.

I just run WAZE navigation or Google Maps via phone & blue tooth when need be. Mind you my head unit is 5+ years old I'm sure they have an updated one w/ same dimensions that has a satt. tuner built in. There are also threads here on the forum that detail doing a touchscreen install if you really want nav via screen. I opted against the touchscreen as I didn't want to lose use of my head unit if the screen decides to die lol.

IMO If you really enjoy the X308 experience, the later years will not be the same, they're entirely different beasts. Update the tech & have the best of both worlds.
