4 Air Conditioning codes? Whats the common denominator??
Hello Fellow Jag people.
I have a 2002 XJR 100. The A/C codes are as follows:
41 LH fresh / recirc. motor fault Harness / connector fault Servo motor seized or sticking Flap
seized or sticking Refer to PDU
42 RH fresh / recirc. motor fault Harness / connector fault Servo motor seized or sticking Flap
seized or sticking Refer to PDU
45 Centre vent motor fault Harness / connector fault Servo motor seized or sticking Flap seized or sticking Refer to PDU
46 Foot vent motor fault Harness / connector fault Servo motor seized or sticking Flap seized or
sticking Refer to PDU
I have to think there is a common connector, relay or fuse that would cause these 4 codes all at once.
I did clear them and they all came back instantly.
Could anyone offer any help as to what and where it might be.
Thank you all.
Ted

Found the problem, 2 small relays located on the drivers side rear seat floor area.
Replaced them and cleared all four trouble codes and now the system is working perfectly and checked for the codes numerous times and none present.

Hi Donzi:
I get a self test code roll of 43,44,45 and 46. I found your post before deciding to go into the AC7 (it must be common) connector. But I can't find relays behind the driver's side rear seat floor area.
Can you describe the location of the relays with more detail? Did the relays have a name when you bought the replacements? Where they aftermarket or dealer units?
Best regards

Sitting in the left hand rear seat, directly behind your heels above the floor board.
Pull the panel. They are all in there. All dealer OEM equipment. 2-small black relays are the ones.

Hi Donzi:
Thank you for replying.
Now I know why I couldn't find them - mine is an XK8 and yours is an XK6. (Time for new reading glasses)
How to find these relays on an XK8? Any suggestions? Do they have a name / numbers for searching on the JTIS?
I'm hoping I'll find them behind the driver's side cowl because getting to the vent motors is major surgery.
Thank you for replying.
