Default 99 xj8 climate control issue

Weird...my ac was blowing ice cold and now its like the heat is blowing out with the AC. The compressor is fine and shows the right pressure. You can hear it come on and off like its supposed to but its like something is wrong with the climate control panel...you can turn it all the wayy up to heat and its hot as HELLLL and then its like the heat isn't turning off...you can feel a little cool air coming out of the vents with the heat. Any one had this??? What do I check?

Do a search .......the hvac system has a diagnostic program built in ... you can run different tests.

These systems are rather complicated -- with many sensors as well as flaps and motors. You should be able to feel the different hose and determine how cold the ac system is as well as the hose to and from the heater core.

We played with It last night turning it to high heat and low cool and it's like a blend door is not closing off the heat. My Ac is fully charged.

Using yeldogt's suggestion, the Diagnostics should tell you if a door is not operating correctly.

You can get the Diagnostic Trouble Codes using THIS FILE. Also, THIS LINK has all the Climate Control files I've got saved. Hopefully, something in there will help.

It sounds like a blend door is stuck, but I wonder if a hard reset would help? I've had it fix a non operating window...

I also had a car once that the blend door would FREEZE in place from the AC. The only way to get it moving again was to turn the heat up all the way and wait for the ice to melt.

Okay this problem is happening again. I'm
About to order a new climate control panel but it's like a blend door is not shutting and it's letting heat in. How do I access the blend doors to see if the motors are working or sticking?
