A lot of pressure is building up in my gas tank. The cap almost blows off when I remove it. Gas smell in trunk and cabin. I saw a post in the x300 forum regarding the same symptoms that identified the "rochester" valve as the culpret. I can't find reference to a rochester valve for the 308 would I be looking at a faulty purge control valve causing the pressure build up?
Check that first valve on the purge canisters...its pretty cheap and only takes about 20 minutes to change. Its under the right side, in front of the rear wheel on the X308's. I included the fuel tank system for review, though its for tank removal, it has all the lines to check.
