Default ABS Fuse Blows

1999 VDP - the ABS fuse blows, not instantly, but when the pump kicks in for anything but a short blip. It can be braking or when the traction control functions. Any suggestions as to where to begin the trouble shooting? I considered the broken solder joint problem, but nothing I have read indicates that that problem results in blown fuses. Any ideas about this?

Thanks!

Larry

A standard OBD code reader will not pull ABS fault codes unfortunately - it's almost certain a blown fuse would trigger a fault stored.
Have you got a Jaguar dealer or good independent specialist near you?

How do the earth connectors look down near the pump, there's two.

Sean: I did check the earths (grounds) you are referring to; I will give them another look though. It sounds like my only choice is the dealer for troubleshooting this, is that right?

You can unplug the pump motor from the ABS control module and see if the fuse stops blowing??? You will induce fault code C1095 but you might already have this fault?????
