I was referring to the pins within the connector to the maf, not just removing the connector from the maf. Does that make sense? As I want to swap the wires around and try and keep it looking stock rather than cut and solder etc...

 

Yes, once the white tab is removed, you can use a small watch or sunglass screwdriver to press the tab. Once you've done it once it's easy

 

well i have looked really hard and i cannot see any tab.. i have poked and prodded... i take it this tab is in the area where the white plastic piece came out? Sorry.. seems basic.. but have even zoomed in with my phone with the light on.. cannot see the tab!

they are there...on the top of the pin. Sometimes it helps to push the wire further into the connector

 

Got it... a bit finicky but felt for the plastic little tag in the end then pulled from the wire gently and then you feel it give. Small watch screw driver was perfect for the job. Thanks for your patience.
