Default Where to buy a new MAF

While trying to fix another code problem I ruined my MAF. I had the MAF out to clean and I was cleaning the throttle body, well I kept spraying the cleaner towards the inside of the car and you guessed it, I sprayed my MAF. Can was real low and of all the places I could have sprayed and not bothered anything, I hit the MAF sitting on the air cleaner box. Murphy seems to like messing with me.

So where can I get a good MAF realitively cheap and QUICK?

AIP electronics has one for $98, anybody ever use one?

I can't say I've sprayed a Jag MAF but I have sprayed lotttts of others, all intentionally and all w/o damage. I'm guessing you're having a problem you failed to mention?

NAPA sells refurbished units, try around your area. Just give them the part number off your old MAF, not your make/model, it'll confuse them. I received a MAF that is stamped TOYOTA.

MAFs are generic items like O2 sensors. Use the model number on your current unit. You should find one between $70 and $120 without too much trouble.

Default Maf

You may want to spray your "ruined" MAF with MAF cleaner. Very easy to find at any auto store. Be very liberal with it. I suspect there's good chances that it can be saved, as contaminants on the MAF can give those codes. I've read about folks who simply have the K&N air filter can get those codes after re-oiling the filter (because some of the oil gets on the MAF causing those left and right bank lean or rich codes).
On eBay, I've bought a used MAF for 30, and a new one for 50. Of course, what's available at any given time can vary greatly.
