Gents,I am in the middle of finally completing the install of the Brembo brakes on my XJR. Have all the necessary parts, but not having much joy finding the front Akebono ceramic bake pads listed anywhere for the Brembo calipers. Does anyone happen to have the part# for this? Was searching our form and found a post (pasted below) where the dealer claimed the brake pads for Brembo and the stnadard calipers are the same. Your counsel here would be much appreciated and will help me in wrapping up this long awaited project.

I just got off the phone with the dealer and they tell me that the brake pads are the same for the regular and brembo with a price of $600 for pads alone. I think they must be mistaken as I have a hard time believing the pads are the same. What is the correct part number for pads.

 

They are the same for the XJ8 and XJR (non-Brembo). The XJR's have a larger rotor, but use the same caliper and pads, just a different caliper bracket that moves the pads out 10mm to match the +20mm rotor dia vs the XJ8.

I just bought some, EUR394A off rockauto. Haven't fitted them yet but they look correct...
