Default always always tires and wheels damage

I would like to know if fellow members always have issue with wheels and tires damage.

I consider myself an careful driver but this car always bring me headache on tire and wheel damage, some time it takes me to the tire shop every 3 weeks, that is very embarrassing that I have become a regular to the shop

tires hit nails, finding leaking holes, hitting potholes, cracked or bent rims.

just too much hassle and bills add up quick and easy,

repair, replacement, roadside assistance, I almost forgot how many times already.....

You're not alone.

Over the years I've had to replace a 2 or 3 damaged tires and have a couple of bent wheels repaired on my XJR. Such is life with low profile tires. They're simply more susceptible to road hazard damage.

I've had more flat tires on this Jag then all my others cars combined. Nails, screws, etc. I can't explain it. I think the tires must be magnatized :-). Had another flat just last week, in fact. It's not the car's fault, obviously.

Cheers
DD

Seriously? You drive a supercharged car in NY and it's the car builder's fault. Rossi would probably trade you for Old Mike just for the profit!

Funny my car also seems to attract nails in the tires, have 2 other cars that live a much harder life then the Jag and yet its always the one with the nail.

I think it has a lot to do with the type of tyre being used as well.
Sone brands are more susceptable to this type of damage, especially the normal Pirellis and Michelins.
I favour Yokohamas, they are a superior tyre ;o)

Not the cars fault....time to drag out the Humvee for the motorcross tracks that pass for streets in your fair city ;o)=)

Had a couple of wheels with 3 bends each in them recently.

Not fun. (also $125 + tax), car still has a bumping in the ride.
I think one of my tires has some invisible damage.

You may have damaged the sidewall of the tyre internally ;o]
Some brands are more susceptable to this than others and even more so with low profiles.
Brands like Pirelli and Michelin of late are notorious for not balancing properly due them shifting to 'offshore' factories.
Even 'dynamic' balancing won't cure it as it is a manufacturing fault.
Dynamic balancing should always be used and don't have weights placed on the exterior rim.
These should always be placed on the inside of the rim which places them closer to the centre line of the rim and looks much better visually.
