Applicable Shock bushings for my climate
My front shocks rattle over minor road unevenness. On inspection, noticed the bushings have failed as shown in the photos. It appears the tropical temperature here (Nigeria/West Africa) is affecting the bushings and causing them to melt and fail prematurely.
Is there a type of bushing that is suitable for this climate? Would be such a relief. Car is 2001 XJ8 VDP.

You can't see the bottom bushing from under the fender. You have to remove the plate from the top. The bottom bushing is on the backside of the plate.
That said, I wish stock bushings were available. I don't like the polys for this as I've had a set go bad in the tropical climate of Texas.

You can sell your old shock mount plates on Ebay, and get a little money back. I think I got $30 for mine. Someone will buy them to fit new bushes to, to minimise downtime. Then they will sell their old plates, and the circle of life continues.
