Default asteroid rims chromed?

I have seen some XJRs came with asteroid chrome rims. Is that an OEM option?

Mine wears a non-chrome set. I found a paint kit called flashchrome. But it seems chroming is virtually nono in NYS but I still want to get a chrome set

Check with these guys, they do "exchange" chroming on a lot of Jag wheels.

chrome wheels, chrome rims items in L.A. Wheel and Tire Factory Wheels store on eBay!

Mine are chromed and I wish mine werent. They were supposed to have cost the previous owner $120 a wheel.

All I can say in terms of if they were an OEM option is this: When I worked at Whitley R and D during the development of these cars I saw many many many prototypes around and even drove many and had some on my fleet. Some were Canadian market cars, some American, some Japanese with various options in terms of the wheels but I NEVER saw chromed asteroids so I seriously doub't they were an OEM option.
The chromings seems to suit American tastes alot out here. They've grown on me a bit but they suit the Jaguar more than the chromed rims suit my functional and teutonic Mercedes W124 400E!
