baby seats in 98 XJ8?
The LATCH system for child seats was not required by law until 2002 in the US from what I understand.
Some early Jags had them but it is hit or miss. I think all of them from 2001 onward were fitted.
The technology has come a long way with regards to child seats that need to go in a vehicle without LATCH system.
I wish you well in your birth.

I have twins and have 2 child seats in my '99 XJR. No problems at all (except the dents the seats leave in the leather
).
If you are having twins the child seats are the LEAST of your problems

LOL.
I have one almost 4 year old. We put a rubber pad on the seat and it you would never know seat was in there.

The pad doesnt move. We got it at target I believe. Works well and easy to clean. Has alittle lip around it to catch everything. Although we dont let her eat in the jag, in our other cars she can. We just remove it and hose it off.
