Battery?

Default Battery?

I wanna put a new battery in my 2003 XJ8. Do I need to put the same expensive battery thats in the car originally?

These cars are very finicky w/ battery charging, go with the OEM recommended size(H8/Group 49/MB88), or expect a plethora of issues from a drained/strained cell etc.

I’d get the best quality, best brand and biggest capacity you can get for the car. Seriously there is no point trying to go cheap on a battery with these cars, they’ll just suck it dry and thank you by leaving you stranded. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Jaguar factory batteries are Varta, but any top shelf unit like Exide or Bosch will also work.

Many of the dealers sell an Interstate .... that was the factory replacement for a while.

I use the rebranded Bosch from Pep Boys in many of my vehicles.
