Will disconnecting the battery cause the radio to lose the code set? I can't find the radio code any where with the manuals or under the hood or trunk. The POs widow is senile and no help. I have changed batteries in a '95 XJ6 with no problems, Just don't know about my '02 XJ8. Is there a certain length of time the battery can be disconnected with losing the radio function?

The radio should be fine. If it doescome up saying code, pm me.
But should be set to US market, so no code.

 

what about canada? same thing? will it clear check engine light?

 

If there is a hard fault, likely will not clear engine light.
