Gentlemen and Ladies,
Having bought a December 2006 XJR8 Portfolio 18 months ago I have fallen in love again! But she continually fails on the electronic hand brake not working and flashing lights at me. I have tried to fix at my local garage and after extensive plug ins to the onboard computer have still not located the problem. I would be so grateful for any information to fix this problem as sometimes the handbrake inadvertently cuts in and is hard to try and disengage.

I would not put so much info in your location, or even in your private profile. Bear in mind that security on forums is typically crap. Sooner or later all the info in your profile will be hacked and for sale on the internet. Criminals then use that, cross-referenced with other stolen info, to build up detailed profiles for identity theft.

Sailnet just found lists of member info for sale on the internet.

If I was criminally intended, I would already have your name, e-mail, the car you drive, and nearly all your address apart from the street number.

Welcome, and the advice to delete all the personal info is a good idea, I would do it if I were you.

Also, your car is an X350, this is the X308 section, we stop at model year 2003.

You should go to the X350 forum. But, if it were me I would check that the mechanism is clean and lubricated, then buy new activator units.
