Does anyone know what the extra hole is for, or do I have the wrong boot liner for my car, I have seen them with DVD players for the navigation system but not in a X308, the car has Harmon Kardon speakers, not sure if that means anything?

 

the extra hole is for the navigation module, an optional extra on most 308's. Premium stereo versions have Alpine systems not HK, and generally also have the nav fitted.

 

So would you say that the trim has been replaced with the wrong type at some point? there is no navigation screen in the car that I can see and no room for it in the boot, because the amp is in the way

 

Navigation was only offered on 2000 and up with the Alpine system. If you have HK your car is an earlier model. Wrong trim part

We know, it's the navigation module. It's why he had the wrong trim. No nav prior to 2000 and hk is only prior 2000
