Boot lock seized...Please Help!

[align=left]I am in Spain with a 1998 XJR8 that won't let me into the boot (trunk to you guys)!
Spain shuts in August, so has anyone come across this problem or know how to get into it without wrecking the bootlid?

I had a problem like this and sprayed wd 40 in the cylinder and kept working it until it broke loose

There is a small hole behind the rear license plate through which you can use a screwdriver to trip the trunk mechanism.
