Default Cabin air filter?
Is there a cabin air filter in my 2000 XJ8? if so where and how do I access it?

It is very rare for a US vehicle to have a cabin air filter. Some owners have installed them as they do sell the components. If it had one it is mounted beneath the facia grid where the windshield wiper is mounted. Odds are you don't have one.

Never seen one, never fitted one. Have you a climate control issue?

No issues. Just want to make sure all filters are new as I just bought this car.

There is no cabin air filter on the X(308)

FYI: Wrong info - This image kept popping up as the one for the 2001 XJR.

Apparently there was a filter fitted to the very early cars, but only on the European models, not on the later cars, and not on US models.
