Default Radio/CD Player on a 1999 & 2000 XJ8

The CD player started acting up on the 1999 VdP but I blew the tranny before chasing it down.
Now, my SuperCharged 2000 VdP's radio is erratic. CD player and radio go silent when hitting a bump.
If it's a small bump, then radio comes back on 7-10 seconds later.
If it's a larger bump, then radio comes back on when it feels like it.
It's been silent for a week.
ideas on fixing or replacing it?
The plastic grill seems to be the issue when replacing it.

has anyone replaced their radio and what worked. better, has anyone fixed their radio with positive results?

Love EVERYTHING about this car except the radio.

Sounds like a broken cold solder joint or a couple other things. Here's a couple of links to review...

.....https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...player-201702/

.....this one deals with the Euro code at first, but later there's a link (#14) to another thread which helped Eric... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...e-swap-204724/ ...I used this thread because it details replacement of the knob and gives some good insight by MS to doing that in case you need to do something similar.
