Which can cover gasket to get?
Hello, everyone!
I hope you have a great time with your Jag!
The link below is my previous question, and this one is an updated post/question. Thank you very much for everyone who helped me, and sorry for the late update. Ive been waiting for this mechanic to be available, and unfortunately I had to call a different one because the first one would be unavailable for a coming month…

According to the car mechanic, the problem was caused by oil leak into the spark plug holes, which caused the engine to rattle as some of the plugs stopped by the oil. I will need to get the cam cover gaskets and spark plug gasket to be replaced.
Here’s my question this time.
I’ve read related questions on this Forum, and learnt that there seems to be two types of cam cover: AJ26 and AJ27.
Can anyone help me to find a right, reasonable gasket for my Jag, please?
And is there any other parts that should be changed along with the gasket?
My Jag is x308 executive from 1999
Thank you for reading as always!

I seem to remember that all AJ26 V8 cam covers are the orange/grey 'thick' gaskets and the early 1999 AJ27 cam covers used these also until ENGINE NUMBER 9810290000.(NCA2515AE and NCA2516AE)
The SPARK PLUG BOSS SEALS will be 'connected' in pairs if you have the early cam covers.
The AJ27 and AJ28 engines FROM 9810290001 onward will use the thinner BLACK gaskets and individual spark plug boss seals.
Be aware that over the years, different cam covers might have been installed.

Thank you everyone for your time and helpful comments!
My engine turned out to be the older one, and the connected spark plug seals were the right one.
Ever since I had the gaskets and seals replaced with new ones, the smell of engine oil has reduced significantly, and no problems for daily use!
Im very happy to be back on my Jaguar
Thank you very much again, and I hope you all have wonderful time with your Jag!
