Can only get 5L of coolant in.....?
Hello everyone,
I have just replaced the tensioners & guides. An epic job as we all know but it now lives again & is running great with the following exception......
Im not sure why I can only get 5 litres of coolant into the system. The water pump is working, same for the thermostat as im getting flow through the expansion tank each time i squeeze a hose or blip the throttle. I did notice that only the upper half of radiator is getting hot so maybe a blockage in the radiator? One hose is nice & toasty but the other hose is not. Am I missing something really basic?
Also, Im getting the restricted performance notification. But that might be from the coolant splashing on the plugs & causing a short because I forgot to do up the coolant filler point before i started it & it spouted up everywhere. Also havent connected the thermofans or temp sensor yet.

You will get restricted performance if the sensor is unplugged.
If you drained the coolant through the radiator, you will get less in, as there remains a large amount in the engine itself.
The is an engine drain plug on the side of the block if you want to do a further flush.
